Engineering Better Water

Great water treatment begins with better engineering.

For more than four decades, Tom Cartwright has dedicated his career to advancing reverse osmosis technology through innovation, practical engineering and a commitment to solving real-world water challenges. Rather than accepting traditional limitations, he continually sought new ways to improve system efficiency, simplify installation, reduce maintenance and deliver exceptional water quality. That commitment to innovation became the foundation of ENVIH₂O.

Experience That Shapes Every System

Throughout his career, Tom has led the development of residential, commercial and industrial water treatment technologies used around the world. As Global Business Manager for General Electric's Drinking Water Division, he directed worldwide potable water initiatives while helping expand GE's market presence more than twenty-fold. His work has taken him to 51 countries, where he has developed and implemented water purification solutions for a wide range of applications—from individual homes to complex industrial systems.

Innovation with Purpose

ENVIH₂O was created with a simple objective: design reverse osmosis systems that perform better while making ownership easier.

That philosophy has resulted in numerous patented innovations, including the world's first economical whole-house reverse osmosis system capable of operating on incoming line pressure without a booster pump. Introduced in 2006, the design dramatically improved efficiency, handled significantly higher hardness levels than previous systems and helped make whole-house reverse osmosis practical for everyday homeowners.

Today, those same engineering principles continue to guide every ENVIH₂O system—from residential installations to commercial and industrial applications—providing dependable performance, simplified operation and exceptional water quality.

A Commitment Beyond Business

Clean water has always represented more than technology.

Throughout his career, Tom has designed and donated water purification systems to communities where contaminated water affected both daily life and agriculture. Projects in countries including Thailand, Mozambique, Malaysia and China have helped provide safer drinking water in areas where reliable water treatment was urgently needed. That commitment reflects the belief that innovative engineering can improve lives as well as water quality.
